What will you do?
As a Medior Software Developer you help build the backbone of complex applications and AI-driven platforms. You translate what our partners need into scalable, secure and future-proof software architecture.
- Develops robust backend systems and APIs.
- Builds performant front-end interfaces.
- Works with AI engineers to bring models into production.
- Safeguards code quality and security, including to ISO 27001 standards.
- Contributes to the technical architecture and the platform landscape.
A workday at Researchable
After the morning stand-up you open your IDE to build a new microservice in Node.js or Python. You securely connect a healthcare partner's API to the platform. After a code review with a senior developer you work through the feedback. In the afternoon you discuss the infrastructure for a new, data-intensive platform with the team.
Who are you?
You don't just write code, you build solutions. You care about clean code, testing and security. You work just as easily on your own as in a multidisciplinary team.
Must-haves
- A relevant degree, for example computer science or software engineering.
- 2 to 4 years of experience in full-stack or backend development.
- Strong knowledge of modern programming languages, for example TypeScript and Python.
- Experience with relational databases, for example PostgreSQL.
- Fluent in Dutch or English.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of information security and standards such as ISO 27001.
- Experience in a DevOps-oriented environment.

Where you'll work
Researchable is the strategic AI partner from Groningen. With a team of around 22 colleagues we combine AI development, software development and data engineering to help organisations make better decisions. We work just as happily for scale-ups and corporates as for universities and projects with a lasting impact.
The team
You work closely with your team lead, tech lead, data scientists and AI engineers. We work side by side with our partners inside their own organisation, not from a distance.

- Salary €3,700–€5,300
- 8% holiday allowance, paid monthly
- 4% pension contribution on top of your salary
