For weeks we have been implementing an ISMS (Information Security Management System). The reason we implemented this is because we would like to be certified in the field of information security.
“Because we mainly develop software solutions in which the handling of data and data analysis are of major importance, information security is crucial for Researchable and our clients” - Eduard van Pagée
At the moment our implemented system is being assessed by an external audit agency and expect our certification soon. We see the ISO 27001 certification as the next step in our growth trajectory and professionalisation.
What is the ISO 27001
The ISO 27001 is a globally recognised standard in the field of information security. The standard describes how one should deal with the security of information in all aspects of the organisation. The ultimate goal of the certification is to ensure confidentiality, availability and integrity of information within our organization and with our customers.
Why is this so important for Researchable?
We want information security to be a structural component of our organisation. From the code we write to the way we have contact and share data with third parties. Since our projects involves handling large amounts of data and information, we believe that we have a responsibility to our clients with regards to information security.
We also see that existing partners and new partners increasingly expect that the information security policies are certified. The ISO 27001 is therefore a great distinction for Researchable and will further accelerate responsible growth of the company. By complying with the highest worldwide standards on information security and frequent audits by external auditors, we can offer our clients the highest possible information security.
