Early school leaving in vocational education

The aim: help as many young people as possible obtain a basic qualification. That called for data from both mentors and students, collected weekly over half a year. The question was how to do that consistently and at scale.

We helped develop an application and a questionnaire system for automated data collection. The application sends students weekly invitations to fill in questionnaires automatically.

Within 36 weeks that produced more than 7,000 completed questionnaires.

The project can be viewed at u-can-act.nl. The questionnaire system has been released as open source on GitHub, so other researchers can reuse it.
