Medior Product Owner

Groningen / hybrid·32–40 hours·€4,200–€4,800

Do you want to work on digital products that make a difference in healthcare, law, sustainability and science? As a Product Owner you translate complex problems into smart, usable and scalable solutions with impact.

What will you do?

As a Medior Product Owner you're the connecting link between client, team and organisation. You safeguard the progress of projects from start to finish: delivery is your focus, and where you can you dive into discovery to explore new possibilities together with clients and colleagues.

  • Translate client needs into user stories and technical tickets.
  • Prioritise and manage the backlog.
  • Safeguard scope, timeline and budget.
  • Coordinate with tech lead, developers and UX.
  • Bring stakeholders along and manage expectations.
  • Spot opportunities for further development and new propositions.
  • Join sales for discovery and user story mapping.

A workday at Researchable

You start with the stand-up of your project team. With the tech lead you discuss the sprint progress and the choices needed today, and with the operations manager you align on what this means for planning and staffing. Then you have a client call about a new feature for a data platform in healthcare. In the afternoon you work in Miro on user stories, set out tickets in Freedcamp and record decisions. You wrap up with a short sync with sales about upcoming projects.

Example projects you could contribute to: a kidney transplant app, a self-help app for people with diabetes with universities in the US, collaborations with AIMZ and LegalMike, and consortia with parties such as Philips and Vitens.

Who are you?

You're decisive, client-focused and take initiative. You switch smoothly between strategy and operations, bring structure to complex projects and keep up the pace without losing sight of quality.

Must-haves

  • At least 3 years of experience as a Product Owner, project manager in software development or similar.
  • Higher professional or university-level working and thinking ability.
  • Demonstrable experience with Scrum or agile working.
  • Experience with user stories and backlog management.
  • Strong in stakeholder management with complex clients.
  • Excellent command of Dutch and English.

Nice-to-haves

  • PSPO I, II certifications or similar.
  • Experience across different types of organisations (start/scale-ups, SMEs, universities or corporates).
